Jit Skates was born out of the desire for unusual shaped boards combined with the richness of multi coloured screen printed graphics.
Based in Peckham, South London, identical twin brothers, Fergus and Barnaby started making skateboards for themselves during lockdown.

Getting their hard rock maple veneer from a North America sawmill, the brothers started pressing and shaping boards for their own personal requirements.
They wanted to make their own boards so they could be in control of creating their own unique shapes.
The ex-art student siblings design their own graphics and hand screen print their boards, sometimes printing up to 10 colours.

The duo love the intense block colour that only screen printing can do which harps back to the golden age of skateboards from the 90’s.
Over the last couple of years, they have been tweaking their moulding and pressing techniques and figuring out different shapes. It has involved a lot of fun skating and trialling their boards.

The boards are currently produced in small batches and printed in limited editions of 10 or 25. Each board is stamped with its individual number of the print run.
